A Sunrise Engagement Session at Emory & Henry College
I met Chris & Makenzie while we were in school together at Emory & Henry! Now, they're getting married there in June... and Devon and I are getting married about 11 months later at the very same spot!
I remember the first time I photographed Chris & Makenzie. It was at a formal put on by the Emory Activity Board (which is kind of like an organization that plans events and activities for students at Emory & Henry) my senior year of college.
They had a Great Gatsby formal planned at the Martha Washington the week before what was supposed to be our spring break (2020 spring break was a bit different though).
These two dated all through college and attended the formal together! Now, after their proposal at the school's Duck Pond, they're getting married on campus! Devon and I cannot wait!
For their engagement session, we had planned a sunset session in March, but rain had other plans for us.
We spent a sunny April morning chasing golden rays around campus, and it could not have better! I always tell Devon (and our couples), after so many sessions at Emory & Henry, you would think I would get tired of it. I did photograph the majority of my work in college on campus.
But it never fails that there's always a new corner or two to explore. The photographic possibilities at this school are entirety breathtaking and truly endless!
This was the same for Chris & Makenzie's engagement session. We shot in a couple of places I hadn't photographed yet, and I may be taking every couple we have there too. They made it look so good, and it's officially a new favorite! Chris & Makenzie, Devon and I cannot wait to help you celebrate your wedding so soon!
