After getting her hair cut on Tuesday, Lauren told me she felt "CONFIDENT!" Lauren had waited eight whole months for a haircut, and she was more than ready for it. Of course, it should be noted that she didn't choose to wait so long to have her hair cut because she was neglectful to maintaining her hair. Lauren is just BUSY, as I'm sure we can all relate to. I know I can! After her last haircut in October, Lauren had cheerleading practice everyday after a full day of school, games to cheer at, and as soon as football season ended, basketball season came. Then came soccer season. To say the least, Lauren hasn't had a day off since October. She was in need of so much more than just a haircut. She needed a rest, pampering, and relaxation.
For so many women, the time at a salon is the only down-time we get. Whether you're like Lauren and have practice after practice, or you're a stay-at-home mom whose always doing things for her kids, these precious moments for thinking of oneself are so important.
Take time for yourself this weekend and relax. Read a book. Watch some Netflix. Do whatever you need to rejuvenate and unwind.
Remember: YOU DESERVE IT!
