Be the Change You Want to See | Emory and Henry College SGA - Event | Emory, VA

One of the best things about democracy, or at least in my opinion, is the ability to create change.

This is the very reason I'm majoring in political science, and why LOVE serving in the Emory and Henry Student Government Association.

Getting to work with both the executive branch in the cabinet and in legislative branch by attending Senate meetings, I truly feel the impact of this body of government.

Being able to photograph these meetings brings my joy to a completely different level.

With these photographs, I'm able to help share the message of the purposes/goals of our SGA and encourage others to become involved in the process.

It's so important for people to know what is going on in their government, whether that's student government, state government, or federal.

It may sound cliché coming from a political science major, but I want to encourage you to become involved in your government.

Write a letter to your Congressman or Representative.

Advocate for the changes you want to see.

GO VOTE!

It's so easy to start getting involved, and I'm sure you'll love the feeling of creating change in your community just as much as I do.

See you soon,

Caitlin S. Cornett
