2018 LHS Homecoming Bonfire | Lebanon High School - Sports | Lebanon, VA

It's that time of year again... HOMECOMING!

I love homecoming for so many reasons:

1. I was a cheerleader in high school, so I love rejoining the festivities.

2. My little sister is a cheerleader now, so I have an excuse to take pictures of her.

3. The sense of community around homecoming is so strong.

4. It gives me a great excuse to eat all the food (deep fried Oreo's, snow cones, popcorn, barbecue, etc.).

I could go on for days.

This year, my schedule got jumbled around a bit, but I was still able to photograph the block party and bonfire!

The first thing on my agenda was SNO SHAK! I've been dying to get my hands on more since they closed down at the end of summer.

All aboard the firetrucks!

I got to ride in the firetruck too! I was having major flashbacks to my days as a cheerleader, riding on top of the firetrucks. (Thanks to Cherie Ferguson Akers for this incredible photo)

Clearly, I didn't regard the dangers of riding.

So thankful for these firemen who lit the bonfire, drove the girls down to the bonfire, watched the fire for safety, and kept one of the engines ready for call.

I already can't wait for next year!

See you soon,

Caitlin S. Cornett
