Jonathan is a super busy person (kinda like me)! As a music major, resident adviser, and member of countless music ensembles, he hardly ever has a ton of "free time."
That's why when he asked me to shoot some new headshots for him, I was very excited and honored that he would take time out of his busy schedule to hang out with me for an afternoon.
Now, I'm exaggerating a little bit. Jonathan and I are good friends, and we spend a good amount of time together anyway... but that doesn't take away from the fact that he took his valuable "free time" to do this.
These headshots are particularly special because they are for his teaching portfolio! Jonathan is studying to be a music teacher, and he's going to be AWESOME!
He is the rehearsal leader for the a capella group I perform in, Grace Notes (which he also helped found), and if that's any indication of how he will handle his students, they will truly be blessed.
One of the best things about this session was getting to hear Jonathan play all of the instruments while I took pictures!
Thank you, Ashelyn, for helping me make Jonathan laugh during his session... I am not funny, so that was a HUGE help!
Apparently, the clarinet is the worst instrument to play while getting your picture taken because you make "weird faces" ... I thought these were cute though!
I tried to keep the Christmas decorations out of most of the pictures, but I just love how festive these are!

While Jonathan was prepping his second outfit, I had the inspiration to take this image. I told him he was going to think I'm crazy while directing him into this pose, but he trusted me... and we both love it!
