Family Fun at Sugar Hollow Park | Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church - Event | Bristol, VA

What do the following things have in common:

tasty food,

kids playing in a crystal clear creek,

a golden retriever for all to pet,

smiles from ear to ear,

and laughter for all to hear?

That's exactly what you would find at the Sinking Spring Family Fun Day at Sugar Hollow Park.

After the Sunday morning service on July 1, members of Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church packed their families, friends, and neighbors into cars and vans and met at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol, VA.

Shelter D was full of excitement that day as the kids squirted each other with water guns, a friendly game of cornhole was played, and tummies were filled with such yummy food.

At Sinking Spring, there is such a strong sense of community. From collecting school supplies for community children to congregational events just like this one, Sinking Spring knows how to come together.

Sinking Spring welcomed me to their church in September 2017 on a music scholarship. (I love music)!

Nearly every Sunday, I sing in their choir.

Then, I was roped into the handbell choir.

And then I got involved in their congregational care ministry.

Now, I'm their photographer!

It's easy to see that the entire Sinking Spring community is so inviting, friendly, and caring. It's hard not to get sucked into their church (... and I definitely mean that in a good way).

That's why this event was such a success... and that's why there's already plans for another day at Sugar Hollow in late August.

Thank you Sinking Spring for welcoming me into your church and allowing me to photograph this heart-warming event. I can't wait for next time!
