If you want my recommendation for the BEST time to schedule your portrait session, I will ALWAYS say GOLDEN HOUR!!!!!
Golden Hour is essentially the hour before the sun sets. When the sun is setting, it gives off "golden" hue, hence why we call it golden hour. During this time, the light is soft, bright, and glowing... which is perfect for GORGEOUS portraits!
Not everyone knows when golden hour is on any given day, so here are a few tips to help you schedule the perfect time...
Look at the time of sunset for your session date and go backwards the time of your session (ex. one hour session) PLUS thirty minutes.
For instance, if the sun sets at 6:00pm, and you have an hour session, I would schedule your session to start around 4:30pm.
Or... you can always just ask me what time I would suggest... during consultations, I generally voice this suggestion anyway.
